What Does It Mean To Have Limiting Beliefs

When I first began the journey and made the decison to get started as an entrepreneur, I had many limiting beliefs.  Beliefs about how much money I could earn as an individual, belief about myself and the person I was, belief about building great relationships and my capabilities of achieving certain goals.  I had achieved goals, however, until I really set my mind to doing it, taking the action necessary to achieve goals, I was just going through the motions of life, not really utilizing all of who I could really be.

Limiting beliefs affect many people in this World and they relate to basic fundamental living.

Some examples I have heard people say are:
"I can't get that job, I don't have the skills or the experience."
"I will never be wealthy, I do not have what it takes."
"I don't have what it takes to be successful."
"I am not pretty enough."
"I am not good enough"
"I am not successful and will never be"

The list goes on, some are excuses and some are beliefs that have been dictated to us by our families, our friends, the media, co-workers, bosses, etc.

Setting goals is on process to remove some of those limiting beliefs, see link for examples:

The point is to utilize certain principles in your every day life to work on removing those limiting beliefs.

Great way to do that is to use Affirmations, the more you repeat them each morning and each evening, the more your mind will begin to believe it, thus taking away the old belief and replacing it with a new, more empowering belief.

Begin today to remove some limiting beliefs in your own life.

Anyone who would like to keep me posted on how this is working for you, feel free to post a comment.
